Seeing Colombia in its beauty - in keeping with this vision, Ames is developing a unique collection of furniture and home decor manufactured in Colombia. Founded in 2006 by Ana María Calderón Kayser and her husband Karl-Heinz Kayser, the company predominantly uses the country’s traditional natural materials and craft techniques for their collection.
German designer Sebastian Herkner is a long-term collaborator of Ames and has visited Colombia multiple times. He not only immersed himself in the culture and beauty of the country, but also met the local Ames artisans and learned about their traditional weaving techniques.
Maraca is a hand-made collection of lounge chairs, hammocks and cushions designed by Sebastian Herkner in a warm colour-blocking stripe pattern.
Galvanized and powder coated tubular steel frame. Seat in 100% cotton fabric - removable.
